How to Charge a Rechargeable Disposable VapeUpdated 15 days ago
Finding the Charging Port
On rechargeable disposables, the USB-C charging port is typically located on the bottom of the device. Some models have it on the side. Check the bottom first.
What Cable to Use
Most modern rechargeable disposables use USB-C charging. Use any standard USB-C cable — the one that came with your phone works perfectly. Connect to a wall adapter, laptop, or power bank.
Important: Do not use fast chargers or high-wattage adapters — a standard 5V/1A or 5V/2A adapter is ideal. High wattage can damage the battery.
How Long to Charge
Most rechargeable disposables take 30–60 minutes to fully charge from empty. Some larger-battery devices (like the OXBAR or Lost Mary MT35000) may take up to 90 minutes. Don't leave them charging longer than necessary.
Understanding the Indicator Light
Different devices use different light patterns — check your specific device's packaging or manual. Common patterns include:
- Solid light while charging: Charging in progress.
- Light turns off: Fully charged.
- Light changes color (red to green): Indicates charging progress, green = full.
- Flashing light while charging: Can indicate a charging error or connection issue — try a different cable.
When to Charge
Charge your disposable when:
- The vapor production decreases noticeably.
- The indicator light flashes rapidly when you draw (low battery signal on most devices).
- The device produces no vapor despite e-liquid being present.
Don't wait until the battery is completely dead — charging more frequently and keeping the battery above 20% extends overall battery lifespan.
Charging Safety
- Don't leave charging devices unattended for long periods.
- Don't charge on soft surfaces (bed, couch) — use a hard, non-flammable surface.
- If the device gets unusually hot while charging, disconnect it immediately.
