How to Maintain and Clean Your Vape DeviceUpdated 15 days ago

Why Cleaning Matters

E-liquid residue builds up over time inside tanks, pods, and on device contacts. Regular cleaning improves flavor, prevents leaking, extends coil life, and keeps your device looking and performing like new.

How Often Should You Clean?

  • Every coil change: Clean the tank or pod before installing a new coil.
  • When changing flavors: Rinse the tank to avoid flavor ghosting (the old flavor bleeding into the new one).
  • Weekly: Wipe down the device exterior, clean the mouthpiece, and check contacts.
  • Monthly: Full disassembly and deep clean of the tank.

Cleaning a Tank

  1. Empty any remaining e-liquid from the tank.
  2. Disassemble the tank completely — glass, base, coil, top cap.
  3. Rinse each piece under warm (not hot) water.
  4. For stubborn residue, let pieces soak in warm water for 15–20 minutes.
  5. Dry each piece thoroughly with a paper towel.
  6. Let pieces air dry completely — at least 1–2 hours — before reassembling.
  7. Never use soap unless absolutely necessary, and rinse very thoroughly if you do.

Cleaning a Pod

  1. Remove the coil from the pod (if removable).
  2. Rinse the pod under warm water.
  3. Use a cotton swab to clean the inside walls.
  4. Dry thoroughly and let air dry before refilling.

Cleaning Device Contacts

The electrical contacts between your pod/tank and the device can accumulate e-liquid residue. Use a dry cotton swab to gently clean the contacts on both the device and the pod or tank base. Do this weekly or whenever you notice a connection issue.

Cleaning the Mouthpiece

Rinse the mouthpiece under warm water and dry thoroughly. If it's removable (510 drip tip), soak in warm water for a few minutes to remove buildup.

What Not to Do

  • Never submerge the battery or device body in water.
  • Never use alcohol or harsh chemicals on plastic or rubber components.
  • Never use a microwave or oven to dry components.
  • Never reassemble before components are completely dry.
