How Long Do Pods and Coils Last?

Coil lifespan varies based on vaping frequency, e-liquid type, and wattage settings:

• Light vaper: 3–4 weeks
• Moderate vaper: 1–2 weeks
• Heavy vaper or sweet/high-VG liquids: 5–10 days

Signs It's Time to Replace

• Persistent burnt or harsh taste even with a full pod.
• Noticeably reduced vapor production.
• Gurgling or leaking that wasn't present before.
• Dark brown or black discoloration visible through the pod window.
• Muted or off flavor that doesn't improve with a fresh fill.

Replacing a Fixed Coil Pod (Pod and Coil Together)

1. Empty any remaining e-liquid from the old pod (or let it run out).
2. Remove the old pod from the device.
3. Take a new pod out of its packaging.
4. If the new pod has a coil pre-installed, add 2–3 drops of e-liquid to the exposed cotton wicking ports on the coil before filling.
5. Fill the pod with e-liquid.
6. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to prime.
7. Insert into the device and start at a lower wattage if adjustable.

Replacing a Coil in a Reusable Pod

1. Empty the pod of e-liquid.
2. Remove the old coil — usually by pulling it straight out or unscrewing it.
3. Add 2–3 drops of e-liquid directly to the cotton wicking ports on the new coil.
4. Insert the new coil firmly into the pod until it clicks or seats properly.
5. Fill the pod with e-liquid.
6. Let sit for 5–10 minutes.
7. Reinsert into device and vape at lower wattage initially.

The Importance of Priming

Priming — letting the coil fully saturate before your first vape — is the single most important step for coil longevity. Skipping this step and immediately vaping burns the dry cotton, permanently damaging the coil from the first use. Always wait at least 5 minutes after filling before vaping.
