Battery Not Charging or Not Holding ChargeUpdated 15 days ago
Built-In Battery Devices (Pod Kits, All-in-One Devices)
Device Won't Charge
- Try a different USB cable — cheap or damaged cables are a very common cause of charging failures.
- Try a different power source (wall adapter, laptop, power bank).
- Check the charging port for debris or e-liquid buildup — clean gently with a dry toothpick or cotton swab.
- Make sure the charging port type matches (USB-C, Micro-USB) — using the wrong cable can damage the port.
Battery Drains Too Quickly
- This is normal as batteries age — lithium batteries degrade over hundreds of charge cycles.
- High wattage settings drain batteries faster — try a lower setting.
- If the battery is less than 6 months old and draining very quickly, it may be defective — contact us.
Device Won't Turn On Even When Charged
- Try the 5-click power sequence to make sure the device isn't locked.
- If the charging light comes on but the device still won't fire, the battery may have failed internally — contact us for a replacement assessment.
External Battery Devices (Box Mods with Removable Batteries)
Battery Won't Charge in the Device
- Remove the battery and inspect for damage — torn wraps, dents, or corrosion on the contacts.
- Clean the battery contacts in the mod with a dry cotton swab.
- Try charging the battery in a dedicated external charger (Efest Slim K1, K2, or LUC) instead of through the device.
Battery Drains Very Quickly
- Batteries have a finite lifespan — typically 300–500 charge cycles before capacity degrades significantly.
- Make sure you're using a high-drain IMR battery rated for vaping (Efest, Imren, Blackcell). Generic batteries have lower capacity.
- Check that your wattage isn't set higher than necessary.
Battery Safety Warning
Never use a battery with a torn or damaged wrap — this is a safety hazard. Replacement battery wraps are inexpensive and easy to apply. If in doubt, replace the battery. We carry Efest, Imren, and Blackcell 18650 and 21700 batteries.
